Amit Verma is a contemporary performance Speed painter whose practice brings together painting, live performance, portraiture and audience engagement. A Fine Art Post graduate, Amit has been developing an interdisciplinary artistic practice since 2012, exploring the relationship between image, movement, music and live action.

His practice evolved from studio-based painting and portraiture into performance and speed painting, where the process of creating an artwork becomes an integral part of the experience. The act of painting becomes the performance itself—unfolding in real time before an audience.

Amit has performed for JOSH TALKS, TEDx, corporate organisations, universities, cultural institutions, public events and international audiences. His performances combine painting, music, physical movement and visual storytelling, often culminating in a dramatic reveal of the completed artwork.

His work explores portraiture, expression, transformation and the energy of the live moment. By making the creative process visible, he turns painting into an engaging shared experience between artist, artwork and audience.
